Inaugural Australian Nature Journaling Conference 23-26 May 2024 at the Queensland Museum, Brisbane

We invite citizen scientists, educators, nature lovers, and nature journalers to the first Inaugural Australian Nature Journaling Conference, a networking event aimed at uniting individuals and communities from across Australia. Hosted at the beautiful Queensland Museum in central Brisbane, this event promises to foster a deep love and understanding of nature, encourage community building, and explore the impact of nature journaling.

Highlights of the ANJA Conference Program

  • Welcome to Country Ceremony by Derek Oram, Yerongpan Aboriginal Corporation
  • Two Days of Interactive Sessions: Engage in presentations, discussion roundtables, and networking opportunities with both new and seasoned nature journalers.
  • Hands-On Workshops: Explore a variety of journaling techniques, materials, and subjects inspired by the museum's collection over two afternoons.
  • Field Trips: Spend a full day immersed in the beauty of Brisbane's botanical gardens, parklands, and wetlands.
  • Social Events: Enjoy welcome drinks with live music by Adam Stockdale and a conference dinner featuring a speaker from the Queensland Museum.
