Staying at Steeles Island

Camping (Package 2).  What do I need to know?

Check-in is on Friday after 3pm.  Check-out is on Monday before 9am.  

On arrival, come to The Homestead to check-in. We will direct you to your allocated site and provide any additional information you might need. 

The campsites are ideally suited to self-contained campervans/caravans. The sites are not powered, but you can use internal and external electric power points at The Homestead. Open fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on Steeles Island. The Homestead has a fireplace to warm up before you hunker down for the night.  

Please be aware that there are no separate camping amenities (showers, toilets, camp kitchen). Campers will have access to the day-use toilets in The Homestead. 

Your package includes daytime catering (lunch, morning and afternoon teas). Dinners and breakfasts are available for those who purchased these as optional items in advance. 

The Homestead (Package 3).  What do I need to know?

Check-in is on Friday after 3pm.  Check-out is on Monday before 9am. 

On arrival, come to The Homestead to check-in. We will show you to your room and provide any additional information you might need.  Bed linen and towels will be provided. All meals are included in your package. 

Please remember to bring your own personal items and creature comforts (eye mask, ear plugs, your favourite teas). 

I requested a sole-use room, what happens next?

We have had a high demand for beds in The Homestead. We have not been able to accommodate request for the exclusive use of a room by individuals. If you booked to stay at The Homestead, you will be sharing a room with others. You should have received an email recently about this.
